neighbor

VMU internzWhen the Pharisees heard that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered together, and one of them, a lawyer, asked him a question to test him. “Teacher, which commandment in the law is the greatest?” He said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the greatest and first commandment. And a second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.”   [Matthew 22:34-40 (NRSV)]

Here at The Feed Truck, we believe that loving our neighbors is important – those neighbors who are life-long New Jerseyans, those who pass through for a few years as university students, and those who for a million good reasons come to call Central New Jersey their home. And we think that fostering a love of neighbor across all segments of our community is a calling worth talking about.

We want to help support the communities of Kingston, Princeton and beyond as we all work together to build strong local economies by supporting area farmers and businesses; provide sustainable, meaningful work opportunities; take care of those who are less fortunate and underserved; and encourage Mercer County’s over 53,000 college students to pour themselves into the life of their hometowns-away-from-home.

We believe that great things can happen over wholesome meals and open conversations between good neighbors. Offering a little radical hospitality can go a long way in creating hope within our communities, and we here at The Feed Truck want to invite you to join us in that mission.
